COINGA

A dairy production factory since 1966. First Mahón-Menorca cheese producer. Coinga from Mahón-Menorca is a pressed cheese that comes in a parallelepiped shape, with smoothed corners and edges. Made from cow's milk, it is produced and aged exclusively at the factory in Alaior, in keeping with the traditions and standards of the regulations of the protected Denomination of Origin. Among the many national and international awards that this cheese has won throught the years, we must point out the third place medal in 1996 at the International Cheese Competitions, held in Wisconsin (USA), as this was the first Spanish cheese to be honoured with the award.
